What this site is

Every page on this site reports vote counts, margins, and historical trends exactly as recorded in the source data, with the source and its vintage stated on every page. Where data isn't yet available for a given cycle, the page says so directly rather than omitting the row.

What this site is not

This site does not endorse candidates or parties, does not offer commentary on the causes of political trends beyond what the vote data itself shows, and is not affiliated with any campaign, party, or government election authority.

Editorial standard

Every page carries a sourcing and methodology footer naming the dataset and its last-updated date. Where a county-year's official returns are only reported broken down by ballot mode (early vote, election day, provisional, etc.) rather than as a single county total, this site sums those rows to produce the county total; this is stated on the relevant pages.

Data license & usage terms

Underlying election returns for 2000-2024 come from the MIT Election Data and Science Lab (MEDSL)'s combined county-level presidential returns dataset, distributed via Harvard Dataverse under that repository's Community Norms (attribution requested, no restriction on reuse). County population figures come from the U.S. Census Bureau's Population Estimates Program, a public-domain U.S. government data product. Reuse of this site's presentation is welcome with a link back to the specific page as the source. This site makes no separate claim of copyright over the underlying vote-count facts themselves, only over the specific presentation, aggregation, and derived figures (margins, swings, trend text) on each page.
